This summer marked a historic milestone for Winning Soccer Skills as we successfully conducted our very first football camp on African soil. The event took place in Harare, Zimbabwe, and brought together a passionate community of young players and coaches eager to learn, grow, and celebrate the beautiful game.
Over the course of three action-packed days, our Academy Director, Rick van Hoeven, and Head Coach, Pep Montasell, led 47 enthusiastic players through intensive training sessions designed to sharpen technique, build confidence, and foster teamwork. In addition, seven local coaches joined the program, gaining valuable insights and practical experience to take back to their own teams and communities.
The atmosphere in Harare was nothing short of electric. From the first warm-up drill to the final whistle, the energy and commitment shown by the players reflected Zimbabwe’s incredible passion for football. For us at Winning Soccer Skills, it was a privilege to contribute to this spirit while sharing our academy’s methodology on an international stage.
We owe special thanks to our global partner, Platinum Sports, for hosting us and ensuring that every detail of the camp was perfectly executed. Their dedication and support have been instrumental in helping us expand our mission of inspiring the next generation of footballers worldwide.
This memorable event follows the success of our Girls Tour in Barcelona in December 2024, and represents another step forward in our journey of creating meaningful football experiences across continents. With Zimbabwe now part of our story, we are more motivated than ever to keep building opportunities for players and coaches around the world.
At Winning Soccer Skills, we believe football is more than just a sport—it’s a bridge that connects people, cultures, and dreams. This camp in Harare is only the beginning. We are already preparing for more international events that will continue to spread our philosophy of skill, passion, and global football development.
Stay tuned—because the journey has just begun
