MeetEuroEconomics

When Jeroen Oskam was seven years old, he saw FC Barcelona play football in the Netherlands. What struck him the most, besides the football itself, were the beautiful colors of Barcelona’s jerseys.

A lifelong fan, fate (?) had it that years later, during a holiday in Spain, he happened to visit Barcelona and ended up moving there.

After completing his studies in business economics, he founded EuroEconomics to assist foreign companies and individuals with financial, tax, and legal matters in Spain.

FC Barcelona was a magnet for Dutch players and coaches, who also found their way to EuroEconomics. Later, players from clubs like Real Madrid, Sevilla, Atlético Madrid, Girona, and others followed suit.

And, it’s wonderful to mention, nowadays, international female footballers also seek out EuroEconomics. The world’s top players, both on the field and in goal, have found their way to the firm.

Clubs and sports institutions, such as the Dutch Olympic Committee (NOC*NCF), also turned to EuroEconomics for advice on sports-related matters in Spain, as well as investors in football clubs—with great success!

When Rick van Hoeven wanted to start a football academy in Barcelona, he too approached EuroEconomics for a discussion with Jeroen about financial, tax, and legal support.

The shared journey of being Dutch, having an early passion for Barcelona, moving there, and engaging with the international aspects of the beautiful game, almost immediately inspired them to co-found the academy.

Jeroen Oskam and EuroEconomics, now with over 100 colleagues spread across offices throughout Spain, are proud to be co-founders and sponsors of the Winning Soccer Skills Academy.
